Your Exit Strategy (Assignment 28A)

1. The exit strategy that I plan to pursue with my venture would be to grow the business as much as I can. This would probably take a couple of decades. Then, if the business has reached the level of success that I am satisfied with, I will sell the business to another person or company that wishes to carry on the name and brand that I created.

2. I have selected this particular exit strategy because I believe that this way can make me the most successful, and can make my brand the biggest it ever can be. I wanted to take the time to grow and create a true brand identity for this company.

3. I think that my exit strategy has influenced the other decisions I have made in my concept. For example, I stated in a past assignment that I plan to expand my business across multiple states and make it a household name, whether it be through franchising or internally expanding with my own resources. I plan to make a well known brand, and that takes time. That is why I wanted my exit strategy to be one that goes through the process of building the business over a couple decades, and then selling it afterwards.

  1. David,
Sounds like a very mature exit strategy to utilize and it looks like you really thought through your whole plan. I like you how you are aware that it will probably take years and years to make a business successful, and it seems like you have the passion to put in the time to get to that place. Overall, good job.

  2. Hi David,

I really like how you're considering the long run growth of your company. This is often a successful route, and one that would be good for you and the company. Often times entrepreneurs will get too focused on growing and expanding quickly, but this has led to many failures in business. Keep up the slow growth it's the right thing to do.
